Derrick Griggs

Chief Executive Officer

Derrick Griggs was appointed Chief Executive Officer September 2020.

Prior to joining NHSNYC, Mr. Griggs served as the Chief Operating Officer at Monmouth County’s largest non-profit community & real estate development organization, the Affordable Housing Alliance. There he directed the development of over 200 housing units (including two LIHTC developments), the creation of AHA’s Community Action Agency and the Homeless Shelter for Adults, and was instrumental in growing total assets five-fold to over $100 million.

Mr. Griggs attended Rutgers University on the James Dickson Carr Scholarship where he obtained a BS in Finance. While working in finance, he attended Rutgers to pursue an MBA in Management & International Business. In 2016, Mr. Griggs was chosen as one of 50 leaders for the prestigious 18-month “Achieving Excellence Program” at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, which he completed in 2018.

Patricia Primo

Director of Homeownership

Patricia Primo serves as Director of Homeownership Services. She has been with the organization since 2008. Ms. Primo is responsible for overseeing all first-time homebuyer programs offered through NHSNYC’s Homeownership Center. She also manages NHSNYC’s foreclosure counseling programs.

Prior to joining NHSNYC, Ms. Primo worked in the mortgage industry for over 13 years. Her background includes work with Chase as a mortgage processor/junior underwriter, Citibank as a Community Mortgage Officer, and Washington Mutual as a Mortgage Sales Manager. Ms. Primo has a Degree in Public Communication from the University of Guyana. She also has a Certificate in Credential and Substance Abuse and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Medgar Evers College.

Marita Bankhead

Director of Lending Services

Marita Bankhead was appointed Director of Lending Services on January 4, 2021. Prior to joining NHSNYC, Ms. Bankhead was the AVP Post-Closing Underwriter at Morgan Stanley Private Bank, a global leader in the investment and financial services industry. While there, she worked directly with Credit Risk Management, Legal Counsel, and Financial Advisors to facilitate and finalize post-close loan restructures for the ultra-high net worth client base. Ms. Bankhead has been in banking and finance for more than 20 years with extensive experience in management, quality control, audit, and mortgage loan underwriting.

Nedra Campbell

Director of Programs and Operations

Nedra Campbell serves as the Director of Programs at NHSNYC. Ms. Campbell has been with the organization since June 2021 and is charged with overseeing government-contracted down payment/closing cost assistance and rehabilitation programs. In addition, Ms. Campbell oversees resource development and marketing activities, and streamlines organizational processes and workflows. Prior to joining NHSNYC, Ms. Campbell has worked as a New York State Licensed Real Estate Professional and as Assistant Vice President with the Office of Economic Opportunity and Partnership Development at New York State Homes and Community Renewal/Housing Finance Agency. Ms. Campbell holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a master’s degree in Public Health from Florida State University. In addition, she is a proud fellow of Project REAP (Real Estate Associate Program).

Yuejuan Weng

Chief Financial and Administrative Officer

Yuejuan Weng recently joined NHSNYC as the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. Supporting the vision of the CEO, Jane will oversee and help ensure ongoing alignment between financial, operational, and management goals for the organization. Ms. Weng holds an MBA from the Robert Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and a BA in Economics from Fudan University. She holds Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualifications.
